Appendix C — Updating Your KODAK Software Driver

This appendix provides information on obtaining and installing updated software drivers including:

Directions for downloading software drivers electronically from several sources. (We recommend this as the preferred method of obtaining driver updates.)

Directions for obtaining software drivers on diskettes directly from Kodak.

Directions for installing the software driver and updating camera firmware once you have obtained the updated version of the driver.

Downloading Software Drivers Electronically

NOTE: The availability of software downloading service described in this section may vary from area to area.

When Kodak prepares updated versions of the software drivers for the camera, it makes those updates available electronically on a public ftp server. Downloading an update from this network is the quickest way to obtain the most current driver. You receive the driver directly — in a timely way — at your convenience.

Downloading a driver requires: a modem, communications software, a telephone line, and access to this server. These items are not supplied by Kodak.

You access this ftp server using one of the following methods:

Via FTP at “ftp ftp.kodak.com/pub/photo-cd/drivers/”

Log-in as “anonymous” using your complete e-mail address as a password. The file “Descriptions.txt” in the drivers directory lists all
