Understanding the printer menus		170
	Use	To
	Home screen customization	Change the icons that appear on the home screen.
	Change Language	For each icon, select from the following options:
	Copy	Display
	Copy Shortcuts	Do not display
	Fax	Notes:
	Fax Shortcuts
		• Display is the factory default setting for the Copy, Fax,
	E‑mail
	E‑mail Shortcuts	E‑mail, FTP, Search Held Jobs, Held Jobs, USB Drive, and
		Forms and Favorites menus.
	FTP
		• “Do not display” is the factory default setting for the Change
	FTP Shortcuts
		Language, Copy Shortcuts, Fax Shortcuts, E‑mail Shortcuts,
	Search Held Jobs
		FTP Shortcuts, Profiles and Solutions, Bookmarks, and “Jobs
	Held Jobs
		by user” menus.
	USB Drive
	Profiles and Solutions
	Bookmarks
	Jobs by user
	Forms and Favorites
	Date Format	Format the printer date.
	MM‑DD‑YYYY	Notes:
	DD‑MM‑YYYY	• MM‑DD‑YYYY is the U.S. factory default setting.
	YYYY‑MM‑DD
		• DD-MM-YYYY is the international factory default setting.
	Time Format	Format the printer time.
	12 hour A.M./P.M.	Note: “12 hour A.M./P.M.” is the factory default setting.
	24 hour clock
	Screen Brightness	Specify the brightness of the printer control panel screen.
	20–100	Note: 100 is the factory default setting.
	One Page Copy	Set copies from the scanner glass to only one page at a time.
	Off	Note: Off is the factory default setting.
	On
	Output Lighting	Set the amount of light from the standard output bin.
	Normal/Standby Mode	Notes:
	Off
		• Dim is the factory default setting if Eco-Mode is set to Energy
	Dim
		or Energy/Paper.
	Bright
		• Bright is the factory default setting if Eco-Mode is Off or set
		to Paper.
	Error Lighting	Determine if indicator lights blink when the printer encounters
	On	errors.
	Off	Note: On is the factory default setting.
