Configuring System Board Jumpers

The following paragraphs contain procedures for setting system board jumpers to:

Tclear the CMOS clear a password.

A jumper is a small plastic-encased conductor (shorting plug) that slips over two jumper pins on the jumper block.

!CAUTION

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage the system board. Modify the system board only at an ESD workstation. Otherwise, wear an antistatic wrist strap attached to chassis ground.

The following figure shows the location of the system board jumpers. The jumper configurations and default settings are given in the table immediately after the figure.
