No logic, termination, or resistor loads are required to connect devices to the SCSI controller other than termination in the device at the end of the cable. The SCSI bus is terminated on the system board with active terminators that can be disabled.

Video Controller

The system has an onboard integrated Cirrus Logic CL-GD5480 64-bit high- performance SVGA subsystem that supports the following:

BIOS compatibility with VGA, EGA, CGA, Hercules Graphics, and

MDA

2 MB of 10 ns video random access memory (VRAM) video buffer

16-bit bus for high-speed display memory access

hardware accelerated bit block transfers (BITBLT)

display power management system

supports 100 Hz refresh, non-interlaced at 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768,

T1240x1024, and 1600x1200 resolutions

displays up to 16 million colors at 640x480 and 800x600 resolutions, 64K colors at 1024x768 resolutions, and 256 colors at 1280x1024 resolutions.

Peripheral Controller

The advanced integrated peripheral controller supports two serial ports, one parallel port, diskette drive, PS/2-compatible keyboard and mouse, and integrated Real Time Clock (RTC). The system provides the connector interface for each port.

Serial Ports

Both serial ports are relocatable. Each serial port can be set to one of four different COM ports and can be enabled separately. When disabled, serial port interrupts are available to add-in boards.

Parallel Port

One IEEE 1284-compatible 25-pin bidirectional EPP (supporting levels 1.7 and 1.9) parallel port is provided. BIOS programming enables the parallel port and determines the port address and interrupt. When disabled, the interrupt is available to add-in boards.
