Flow from Startup to Termination

pIf the program is not installed, see page 156 and install the program.

1 Start the engine.

The navigation system is also turned on. After some time, the navigation opening screen comes on for a few seconds. Then, a message screen is displayed.

pInsert the Pioneer DVD Map Disc to the disc loading slot.

2Check the details of the caution mes- sage and touch [OK].

You can operate the navigation system by touching keys displayed on the screen. The map of your surroundings is displayed.

3Turn off the vehicle engine.

This navigation system is also turned off.

pThis product also can be switched off by turning the ACC (ignition) OFF.

pThe DVD drive plays one standard 12-cm or 8-cm (single) disc at a time. Do not use an adapter when playing 8-cm discs.

pDo not insert anything other than a disc into the disc loading slot.

Ejecting a disc

%Press EJECT button. The disc is ejected.

Opening and Closing the LCD panel

CAUTION

!Do not close the LCD panel with hands by force. This may cause malfunction.

!Keep hands and fingers clear of the display unit when opening, closing, or adjusting the LCD panel. Be especially cautious of chil- dren’s hands and fingers.

The LCD panel will open or close automatically by turning the ignition switch on or off. You can turn off the automatic open/close func- tion.

pThe automatic open/close function will op- erate the display as follows:

When the ignition switch is turned OFF while the LCD panel is open, the LCD panel will close after a few moments.
