Operating the Picture
Adjustment
CAUTION
Forsafety reasons, you cannot use some of these
navigationfunctions while your vehicle is in mo-
tion.To enable these functions, you must stop in
asafe place and apply the parking brake (refer to
Parkingbrake interlock on page 20).
1 Touch[V.Adjust] in System menu.
2 Selectthe desired item you want to ad-
just.
!Camera—Switch to the picture adjust-
mentdisplay for the rear view camera
!Source—Switch to the picture adjustment
displayfor the AV source screen
!Map—Switch to the picture adjustment
displayfor the map screen
pWhenthe display is already on the screen,
amessage to that effect appears.
Brightness —Adjust the black intensity
Contrast —Adjust the contrast
Color —Adjust the color saturation
Hue —Adjust the tone of color (red is empha-
sized or green is emphasized)
Dimmer —Adjust the brightness of display
pTheadjustments of Brightness,Contrast
andDimmer are storedseparately when
your vehicle’sheadlights are off (daytime)
andwhen your vehicle’s headlights are on
(nighttime).These are switched automati-
callydepending on the vehicle’s headlights
areon or off.
pYoucannot adjust Color and Hue for the
sourcewithout video and navigation map
display.
pIf you select [Source], sources without
videoand sources with videoare saved se-
paratelyin thememor y.
pThepicture adjustment may not beable to
beused with somerear view cameras.
pThesame setting is selected for the normal
backgroundpicture and the navigation
mapdisplay.
pBecauseof the LCD screen characteristics,
youmay not be ableto adjust the screen at
lowtemperatures.
3 Touch[+] or [-] to adjust the selected
item.
Each time you touch [+]or[-]increases or de-
creases the level of selected item. +24 to -24
is displayed as the level is increased or de-
creased.
pAdjustDimmer in therange of +1 to +48.
4 Touch[ESC] to return to the previous
screen.
Switching the backlight On/Off
By turning off the backlight of the LCD screen,
you can turn off the screen display without
turning off the voice guidance.
%Touch[Screen Off] in System menu.
The backlight turns off,and the scree n turns
off.
pToturn on the backlight, touch the screen
againor pressMAP button.
