09Customizing the AV Source Setting
Using the high pass filter
When you do not want low sounds from the subwoofer output frequency range to play from the front or rear speakers, turn HPF (high pass filter) on. Only frequencies higher than those in the selected range are output from the front or rear speakers.
1Touch [HPF] in Sound menu.
2Touch [On] to turn high pass filter on. To turn high pass filter off, touch [Off].

When [Preout] (the subwoofer controller set- ting in Initial menu) is [Sub. W], HPF function is effective for front speakers only.

Adjusting source levels
SLA (source level adjustment) lets you adjust the volume level of each source to prevent ra- dical changes in volume when switching be- tween sources.
pSettings are based on the FM tuner volume level, which remains unchanged.
1Compare the FM tuner volume level with the level of the source you wish to ad- just.

Setting the language
You can set a desired subtitle, audio and menu language. If the selected language is re- corded on the disc, subtitles, audio and menu are displayed in that language.
1Touch [Language] and then touch [Subtitle Language], [Audio Language] or [Menu Language].
Each language menu is displayed and the cur- rently set language is selected.
2Touch the desired language.
When you select [Others], a language code input display is shown. Input the four digit code of the desired language then touch [Enter].
