disabling remote access. The default

 

 

setting of zero allows no remote login

 

 

attempts, thus disabling remote access. A

 

 

value of 1 or greater enables remote

 

 

access. If the number of unsuccessful

 

 

login attempts exceeds the limit set by this

 

 

register, the modem returns online and

 

 

any further login attempts during the

 

 

remainder of that connection are refused.
