Command Mode

OSPF Router Configuration.

Description

Prevents OSPF from sending routing updates across the network. To disable

 

passive interface, use the no form of this command.

Syntax

To Enable:

passive-interface{<interface-name> <ip-address>}

 

 

To Disable:

[no] passive-interface {<interface-name> <ip-

 

address>}

<interface-name>

Name of the interface on which OSPF runs.

 

 

 

 

<ip-address>

IP address of the interface on which OSPF runs.

 

 

 

Sample Output

The following command enables passive interface on the interface labeled

 

boston with an ip address of 10.0.7.123.

 

(configure router:ospf)# passive-interface boston 10.0.7.123
