6Misfeed in the Duplex Unit (Only in duplex copiers) | 3 |

If “Paper misfeed. Open Duplex Unit Cover.” [“PAPER MISFEED. OPEN COVER DUPLEX UNIT.”] is displayed and the misfeed location indicator shown in the illustration lights, a misfeed has occurred in the Duplex Unit. Perform the following procedure to remove the jammed paper.
Open the reversing section cover (shown as 2 in the illustration) and remove the jammed paper without tearing it.
*If the paper does happen to tear, remove any loose scraps from inside the copier.

| Close all open covers and replace the Duplex Unit in its |
4 | original position in the copier. |

1 Pull out the Duplex Unit.
| Open the Duplex Unit cover (shown as 1 in the illustration) |
2 | and remove the jammed paper without tearing it. |

*If the paper does happen to tear, remove any loose scraps from inside the copier.
