Command Usage
You can enable or disable authentication messages via the Web
interface.
You can enable or disable authentication messages or
link-up-down messages via the CLI.
Command Attributes
Trap Manager Capability – Indicates that the switch supports
up to five trap managers.
Trap Manager IP Address – Internet address of the host (the
targeted recipient).
Trap Manager Community String – Password-like
community string sent with the notification operation. Though
you can set this string in the Trap Managers table, we
recommend that you define this string in the SNMP Protocol
table as well. Range: 1-32 characters, case sensitive.
Version – Indicates if the host is running SNMP version 1 or
version 2c.
Enable Authentication Traps – Issues a trap message
whenever an invalid community string is submitted during the
SNMP access authentication process.
Enable Link-up and Link-down traps – Issues a trap
message whenever a port link is established or broken.
