The print gap is not set correctly.

Make sure that the lever is pushed back if you are printing on single sheets, or pulled forward if you are using fanfold stationery.
Remove paper from the printer. Reload paper. Refer to page 26 and page 27.
Check the print gap. If necessary, use the adjustment lever to set the print gap. See “Adjusting the print gap” on page 24.
