Using the Menus and Buttons

This section provides a brief overview on how to use the menu buttons to open menus, make selections, and register data.

General Guidelines for Registering Information

Always keep these points in mind while you are using the menus:

JIf you pause and do not press a button for 60 seconds, the fax returns to the standby mode automatically. You must then start the procedure again from the beginning.

JIf your fax is set to manual receiving and the fax rings while you are registering information, pick up the handset. If you hear a slow beep tone, the other party is trying to send you a document. Press STOP and press START/ SCAN to receive the document.

Using the Menus

The fax employs a menu system you can use to register important information or to set up important features. Here we will describe how to display and open these menus. The content and purpose of each menu is described in another chapter.
