JNever touch or try to open the protective shutter that protects the light- sensitive drum inside the toner cartridge. If the drum is exposed to light, this can cause printing quality to deteriorate.

JHandle the toner cartridge with care. Do not subject it to shock or vibrations.

JAlways set toner cartridges down with the arrow on the cartridge facing up.

Storing Cartridges

JStore a toner cartridge in the original box and protective bag until you are ready to install it.

JStore toner cartridges at a constant temperature within a range of 0!C to 35!C. Do not store cartridges in places subject to extreme ¯uctuation of temperature or humidity.

JTo prevent caking in the toner, never stand the cartridge on its end and do not store it upside down. If the toner becomes caked as a result of being stored in an odd position for too long, it may be impossible to dissolve it completely even by shaking the cartridge.

JDo not store the cartridge in salty or corrosive air.

JNever attempt to disassemble a toner cartridge or attempt to re®ll it.

JMake sure that you use a stored toner cartridge before the expiration date printed on the toner cartridge box.
