For cleaning cartridge messages, ‘CLN’ denotes that it is a

 

cleaning cartridge, ‘H’ represents Hewlett-Packard as the drive

 

manufacturer, ‘n’ is the volume serial number, and ‘XY’

 

represents the media ID (as stated above). Bar codes will

 

resemble ‘CLNHnnL1’.
