G.10.5 Move a Resource Group

It is often useful to have HACMP move a resource group to another node in the cluster. This will

resultin a short period of down time as HA HPSS is shutdown on the active node and brought up

on the standby node, but it is a convenient way to free up a node for maintenance.

To move a resource group to another node, go to SMIT:

% smitty hacmp

Cluster System Management

-> Cluster Resource Group Management

-> Move a Resource Group

[HPSSResourceGroup]

Choose the target node for the resource group and hit <Enter>:

SMIT will then show the status of the resource group move. When the move is completed, all

resources will be available on the target node.
