Powering Down the System

Powering Down the System

You may need to power down the system to add upgraded equipment to the carrier.

! CAUTION:

Follow these steps in the exact sequence.

To power down the system, follow the steps below and see Figure 9–2:

! Turn off the power supply on the basic carrier.

! Turn off the power supplies on the expansion carriers.

! Unplug any auxiliary power units.

Because the power supplies are already off, the sequence for removing auxiliary power cords is not important.

!  Unplug the system from the AC outlet.
