Configuring the Dialing

Information

This section describes how to configure the following dialing information:

the digit(s) you must dial before you can make a local call (that is, an external call)

Tthe digit(s) you must dial before you can make a long-distance call the area code for your telephone

To configure the dialing information:

1.From the View menu in the Telephony Manager window, choose

Dialing Properties.

If you are using Windows NT, the Dialing Properties dialog box appears. Proceed to Step 3.

If you are using Windows 95, the Telephony Properties dialog box appears (Figure 2-15).
