As previously mentioned, items can be added to the playlist by dragging a source pattern from the Generator window (or by taking Add to Playlist… from the context menu). On doing so, a dialogue will appear which allows the user to specify the duration for this item. It also provides the ability to edit various video generation features such as panning.

Note that these video/audio generator settings only apply to the specified item so that the user can, for example, apply different panning speeds to different items in the playlist.
