Changing Operation Modes

You can switch between copier, scanner, and fax modes by pressing the corresponding keys.

Press the [Copy], [Scanner], or [Facsimile] key to switch to each mode. While operating in each mode, the corresponding key lights up.

Function Priority

By default, the machine switches to the copier mode when it is turned on, or if the preset [System Auto Reset Timer] time passes with the machine left idle while displaying the initial screen of another mode. You can change the mode to switch to in such conditions using [Function Priority] under [Admin. Tools].

•A password for accessing the [Admin. Tools] menu can be specified in [Admin. Tools Lock].

Multi-access

This machine can perform multiple jobs using different functions, such as copying and faxing, at the same time. Performing multiple functions simultaneously is called "Multi-access".

The following table shows the functions that can be performed simultaneously.
