Triggering Examples
Special Displays
To view trace lists and waveforms on the same display
1Set up a timing and a state analyzer.
2Go to the state analyzer’s Trigger menu.
3Set Count to Time, and set up the trigger as appropriate.
You do not need to have one instrument arming the other to display the
information jointly, but you do need to turn on Count Time so that the
information may be correlated.
4Set up the timing analyzer trigger.
Timing analyzers implicitly count time because their sampling is driven
by an internal clock, rather than an external state clock.
5Make a measurement run.
6Go to the Mixed Display menu.
7To insert state listings, select any label field from the state listing.
From the pop-up that appears, select the desired label to insert.
8To insert timing or waveforms, double-select the label field to the
left of the waveform display area. From the pop-up that appears,
select insert, and then the appropriate label.
