Removing the Side Covers

3.Grip the two built-in handles at the back edge of the cover.

12 Attention: Do not damage or displace the electromagnetic interference (EMI) gaskets mounted on the cover. Replace any damaged gaskets, or your server might not meet EMI requirements.

4.Pull firmly and evenly with both hands to slide the cover toward the back. The cover stops after about an inch.

5.Pull the cover out from the server toward you, to disengage the bottom and top rows of tabs from the notches in the chassis.

6.Set the cover aside.

11 Attention: For proper cooling and airflow, always replace the top and side covers before turning on the server. Operating the server with the covers removed might damage server components.
