Note
Most of the MES processes, such as installing or removing a module, do not prevent the others from working. However, the process of adding or removing the expansion unit to or from the IBM 8285 base unit makes the ATM subsystem reset.
The install status may be Y even if no module installed. This should be normal because the IBM 8285 does not clear the previous status. If you really want to clear the status, use the CLEAR CONFIGURATION command in maintenance mode.
