It is possible to set up the Fast EtherNet from a Macintosh running TCP/IP, using the Setup Utility for Macintosh that comes with the Fast EtherNet.
Operatingenvironment
A Macintosh using System 7.1.2 or later, running TCP/IP.
Please have the “Fast EtherNet
1Insert the “Fast EtherNet CDROM” into the Macintosh.
•This Setup Utility does not operate on a Macintosh with an operating system earlier than System 7.1.2.
•TCP/IP is required also for Macintosh. Select [TCP/ IP] in Control Panels to set each address. Instead of [TCP/IP], there may be [MacTCP] in Control Panels, depending on the OS version. For details, see your Macintosh manual.
