Paper Types To Be Avoided

The following types of paper should not be used, otherwise decreased print quality, paper misfeeds or damage to the copier may occur.

lOverhead transparencies that have already been fed through the copier (even if the transparency is still blank)

lPaper that has been printed on by a heat-transfer printer or an inkjet printer

lPaper that is either extremely thick or extremely thin

lFolded, rolled, wrinkled, or torn paper

lPerforated paper or paper with holes punched in it

lExtremely smooth or extremely rough paper, or paper with an uneven surface

lPaper that has been treated, such as carbon-backed paper, or heat- sensitive or pressure-sensitive paper

lPaper that has been decorated with foil or embossing

lPaper of various sizes

lPaper of a non-standard shape (not rectangular)

lPaper that is bound with glue, staples, or clips

lPaper with labels attached

lPaper with ribbons, hooks, buttons, etc. attached
