5.8Interrupting a Copy Job

A long continuous copy operation or print job from the computer can be quickly paused in order to copy a different document.

Note

Some functions cannot be interrupted. In addition, some settings may not be available while a copy job is interrupted. For more details, refer to the “Function Combination Table” on page 11-10.

To interrupt a copy job

1Press the [Interrupt] key.

The indicator on the [Interrupt] key lights up and the copy operation is paused.

2Remove the document for the

interrupted copy job, and then load the other document that you wish to copy.

3Specify any necessary settings.

?Do you know what settings are selected when the [Interrupt] key is pressed?

ÜWhen the [Interrupt] key is pressed, all functions and settings are reset to their defaults.

4Using the keypad, enter the number of copies you wish to make, and then press the [Start] key to copy the other document.
