When you transfer the files to the host, you can specify how you want the file stored:

In one physical file with one member (data is stored together);

In multiple physical files with one member each.

To store the files in one physical file with multiple members, specify the following:

The member names will be the same as the device names

from which the file was transferred.

To store the files in one physical file with a single member, specify the following parameters as shown:

TOFILE

Enter a file name.

Member name

*FILE

The name of the file and member will be the same as you

specify in the TOFILE file parameter, or you can

specify a separate member name.

To store the files in multiple physical files with a single member in each:

TOFILE

*MULTI

You must specify Data Description Specifications when
