Designations

CLI Commands

The FrameSaver SLV 9126-II Router is managed with text commands from the
Command Line Interface (CLI). The CLI can be accessed:
Locally via a PC or asynchronous terminal connected to the COM port.
Remotely via a Telnet session.
The conventions used in the command line syntax are shown below.
With the exception to the Login ID and Password, the CLI is not case-sensitive.

Convention Meaning
[ ] Brackets indicate an optional element.
{ } Braces indicate a required entry.
|Vertical bars separate mutually exclusiv e elements. Enter one
element only.
[{ }] Braces within brackets indicate a required choice within an opti onal
element.
Italics
The entry is a variable.
Courier Bold The entry in its explicit form is typed as shown. (Most commands
can be abbreviated. See the
FrameSaver SLV 9126- II Router Quick
Reference
for more information.)
