Creating a patch
Here’s how to change the partials that are assigned to the velocity pads.
Also, a scale pattern can be set up while assigning partials to pads. This makes it convenient if you want to
use a MIDI keyboard to play partials.
1.
Press [INSTRUMENTS].
The INSTRUMENTS screen (Screen Guide; p. 114) will appear.
2.
Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] o select the part number with the partial for which you want to
change the assignment.
The selected part number (the current part) will be highlighted.
3.
Press [F5](Patch Edit).
The PATCH EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 118) will appear.
4.
Press [F3](Split).
The PATCH EDIT (SPLIT) screen will appear.

Using the Pad parameter, select the pad bank and pad number of the partial whose
assignment you want to change.
The region of pads to which the partial is assigned is indicated by Current: Lower Point and Upper Point.
6.
Define the region of pads to which the assignment is to be made using the New: Lower
Point and Upper Point parameters.
7.
Press [F5](Set).
Within the region specified by the New: Lower Point and Upper Point parameters, partials will be assigned.
Changing the assignment of partials
If you want to assign a partial for chromatic (pitched) playing, press [F3] (Set Chroma).
