Editing a sample
To maximize the level of a sample (Normalize)
This operation raises the level of a sample as high as possible without allowing it to exceed the maximum
possible level.
1.
Access the SAMPLE MANAGER screen as described in “Viewing a list of samples” (p. 121).
2.
Press [F5](Command).
The SELECT SAMPLE EDIT COMMAND popup (Screen Guide; p. 132) will appear.
3.
Select “Normalize” and press [F5](Select).
The NORMALIZE popup (Screen Guide; p. 134) will appear.
4.
Set the Replace parameter.
If this is on (
✔
), the edited result will overwrite the original sample.
5.
Press [F5](Execute).
The sample level will be maximized (normalized).

You can select Normalize from the command in the AUDIO PHRASE EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 155) or
the SAMPLE EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 128).
