MV-8800 Owner’s Manual
Here’s how to save the current project to the hard disk.
1.
Press [PROJECT].
The PROJECT MENU screen (Screen Guide; p. 162) will appear.

With the cursor located in the upper row of icons, press [F4](Save). Alternatively, select the

SAVE PROJ icon and press [ENTER].

A message of “Save current project?” will appear.
If the current project is protected, you’ll be presented with the message “Current Project is protected. Save as
new Project?” when you press [F5](Yes) in step 2.
If you press [F5](Yes), the SAVE AS NEW PROJECT popup (Screen Guide; p. 165) will appear, allowing you
to save the current project under a different name.
Here’s how you can save the current project to disk under a different name. This is convenient when you want
to create several different arrangements of a project for comparison.

Press [PROJECT].
The PROJECT MENU screen (Screen Guide; p. 162) will appear.

With the cursor located in the upper row of icons, press [F5](Save As). Alternatively, you

can directly select the SAVE AS NEW PROJ icon and press [ENTER].

The SAVE AS NEW PROJECT popup (Screen Guide; p. 165) will appear.
Input a name for the new project you want to create.

When you have finished inputting a name, press [F5](OK).

The current project will be saved on the hard disk with the new project name you’ve specified.
Saving a project
While the project is being saved, the DISK indicator (red) will light. Never strike the pads or otherwise
subject the MV-8800 to vibration during this time. Doing so will cause malfunctions.
The length of time required to save a project is proportionate to the size of the project.
You can also save the current project by pressing [SHIFT] + [SHUTDOWN].
F-button Action
[F1](No) Cancels the Save operation.
[F5](Yes) Saves the current project.
