Using your computer to delete unwanted files
1.
Connect the MV-8800 and your computer as described in “To start communication with
your computer” (p. 289).
Communication between the MV-8800 and your computer will begin.
2.
View the contents of the MV-8800’s hard disk as described in “Copying files from your
computer to the MV-8800” (p. 290).
3.
Drag and drop the unwanted files into the Recycle Bin.
The data will be deleted from the MV-8800.
There is no way to recover data that has been deleted. (Unless, of course, you have previously made a
backup of that data.) Roland Corporation can accept no responsibility for any loss of data or any
damages you incur as a result of such loss.
You are completely free to overwrite or delete any folder or file saved on the MV-8800 that is visible from
your computer. Since it is also possible for you to overwrite or delete data that the MV-8800 requires in
order to function, you must be careful when performing file operations from your computer. Never
overwrite or delete a folder or file other than those described in “Folder structure” (p. 242). If you
overwrite or delete them, we cannot guarantee that the system will operate correctly.
