Here’s how you can “hold down” a velocity pad without having to actually keep your finger on it.
1.
Press and hold the pad you want to “hold.”
2.
While continuing to press the VELOCITY PADS, press [HOLD].
The HOLD indicator (red) will light, and the HOLD function will be turned on. Now that pad will continue
sounding even after you take your finger off of it.
Here’s how you can play a roll (rapidly repeated strikes).
1.
Press and hold [ROLL], and strike the VELOCITY PADS that you want to roll.
A roll will be played on the pad as long as you continue pressing [ROLL].
You can change the interval (spacing) of the roll. Refer to “Pad Roll Interval” (p. 174).

To defeat HOLD, press [HOLD] once again to make the indicator go dark.
