Making audio phrase settings
By assigning a tempo setting to an audio phrase you can make it play in synchronization with the sequencer
even if the sequencer tempo changes. Raising the sequencer tempo will “shrink” the phrase in realtime, and
lowering the tempo will “stretch” it, ensuring that the phrase stays with the beat.
1.
Access the AUDIO PHRASE EDIT screen as described in “Editing the settings of an audio
phrase” (p. 111).
2.
Set the BPM Base Note parameter to the length of the audio phrase.
Specify the actual number of beats played by the audio phrase.
3.
Turn the BPM Sync parameter On.
Now the audio phrase will play in synchronization with the sequencer tempo.
4.
Adjusting the audio quality when using BPM Sync
Stretch Type parameter specifies the audio quality when the sample is stretched or shrunk (Time Stretch)
using BPM Sync. If you select Auto, the setting will be made automatically according to the length of the sound
and the BPM Base Note.
Adjust the Audio Phrase Coarse Tune and Audio Phrase Fine Tune.
