Setting up tracks

Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select the MIDI track which name is “MIDI
Track 1.”

Press [F2](Track Param).
The TRACK PARAMETER popup (Screen Guide; p. 11) will appear.

Using the Output Assign parameter, select the part for the instrument
to be played by the track.
When you tap the velocity pads, the sounds for the selected part are played.

Once you have determined the part to be performed, press [F5](Close).
Recording the performance

Press [REC ( )].
The REC indicator will blink, and the PATTERN RECORDING PARAMETER (MIDI) popup (Screen
Guide; p. 101) will appear.

Press [PLAY ( )].
The REC indicator and PLAY indicator will light, and recording will begin.
Start the performance. The performance is recorded to the pattern.

When you’ve finished recording, press [STOP ( )].
The REC and PLAY indicators will go dark, and recording will stop.
Playing back the performance

Press [TOP ( )].
The current time location will return to the beginning of the pattern.

Press [PLAY ( )].
The PLAY indicator will light, and the pattern playback will begin.

Press [STOP ( )].
The PLAY indicator will go dark, and the pattern playback will stop.
