Editing note events in a MIDI track (Piano Roll Editing)
In the PIANO ROLL EDIT screen you can edit the note events of the current track in a variety of ways.
1.
Access the SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 8) or the PATTERN screen (Screen Guide; p. 91).
2.
Move the cursor to the MIDI track that you want to edit.
Selected track is highlighted (that means current track).
3.
Press [F4](Piano Roll).
The PIANO ROLL EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 30) will appear.

Move the cursor to the note number that you want to edit, and press [F1](Note Sel).
A
symbol will be added to the note number, indicating that this note is selected for editing. You can select
more than one note for editing—simply repeat step 4.
5.
Move the current time location to the beginning of the region that you want to edit, and
press [F3](Rgn In/Out).
This specifies the beginning of the editing region.
6.
Move the current time location to the end of the region that you want to edit, and press
[F3](Rgn In/Out).
This specifies the end of the editing region. Your editing operations will apply to the region between the In and
Out points you specified in steps 5 and 6.

Press [F5](Command).
The SELECT PIANO ROLL EDIT COMMAND popup (Screen Guide; p. 33) will appear.
indicates commands that can be executed in the PIANO ROLL EDIT screen. Refer to “List of available
editing commands” (p. 187)
You can access the PIANO ROLL EDIT screen only if the current track is a MIDI track.
To Select/de-select all note numbers, press [F2](All Note Sel).
