MV-8800 Owner’s Manual
If the same partial is assigned to more than one pad (note number), any partial editing operation will affect all pads
to which the partial is assigned.
The PATCH EDIT (SPLIT) screen (Screen Guide; p. 124) shows you how the partials are assigned to the pads.
If the same partial is assigned to more than one pad
=
Partial
If you edit this the sound
of the assigned pads
(note numbers) will change.
If you assigned the partial for chromatic playing
[F3](Set Chroma) is an advanced version of the [F5](Set) function. Using this function, you can set up a
chromatic scale when partials are assigned to the velocity pads. By assigning one pad’s sound sequentially to
other pads, you will be able to play them like a keyboard.
Partials assigned between Current Lower Point and Upper Point will be re-assigned to the area between New
Lower Point and Upper Point (So, those will be deleted from original area).
The pitch of a partial that's not set to Key Follow
(i.e., that is unpitched) will be taken to be "C4"
Even if you execute Set Chromatic for a location
at a distance from "C4," the SMT Coarse Tune parameter
will automatically be adjusted so that the pitch
is not changed by the distance.
