MIDI tracks
A MIDI track records performance data for an instrument or an external MIDI channel.
Each item of performance data recorded on a MIDI track is called an “event.”
MIDI tracks also record automation data for audio tracks or effects.
There is also a Play Quantize function that non-destructively adjusts the playback timing for the performance
data of each track.
Audio tracks
An audio track directly records audio data, just like a tape recorder. Each item of audio data recorded on an
audio track is called an “audio event.” Audio events can be synchronized to the tempo without affecting their
pitch.
You can also paste audio phrases into an audio track and play them.
Pattern track
The pattern track lets you assign patterns. The pattern track records the pattern numbers, and each such
number is called a “pattern event.”
Mute control track
This track records mute data for MIDI tracks, audio tracks, and the pattern track.
Tempo track
This track records changes in tempo (BPM and time signature) over time.
