Using MIDI devices

In Multi Timbre Sampler Mode, control change or other messages from an external MIDI device can be used

to control MFX.

1.

Press [SYSTEM].

The SYSTEM MENU screen (Screen Guide; p. 172) will appear.

When the cursor located in the upper row of icons, press [F3](MIDI). Alternatively, select

the MIDI icon and press [ENTER].

The MIDI screen (Screen Guide; p. 177) will appear.

Turn the Multi Timbre Sample Mode parameter On.

Set MFX Rx Channel parameter same as the channel from the external MIDI device.

MFX will be controlled by control change or other messages from your external MIDI device (or external MIDI

sequencer).

If the MFX Rx Channel parameter is set to anything other than Off, MIDI messages on the same channel as the

setting for this parameter will be received by MFX, and not by the instrument part.

If the Audio Phrase Rx Channel parameter and the MFX Rx Channel parameter are set to the same value, the

MIDI messages will be received by the audio phrase, and not by MFX.
