You can sample sounds using a mic and assign the sounds to patches.
Inputting audio with a mic

Connect a mic to the left ANALOG INPUT (MIC/LINE) jack.

Press [SAMPLING].
The SAMPLING screen (Screen Guide; p. 209) will appear.

Set the Input Select parameter to Analog(L).
The LEVEL meter fluctuates when the audio from the mic is input.

Adjust the audio input level using SENS knobs.
Adjust the audio input level so that the level meters move as high as possible in the range of -12 dB –
0 dB.

Set the Sample Type parameter to Mono.
The input audio is monaurally sampled.

Press [F5](Start).
The sampling will begin. Input the audio.

7. Press [F5](Stop).
The sampling will stop. The input audio is recorded to the wave memory as a sample.
The RESULT popup (Screen Guide; p. 211) will appear. You can preview the recorded sample by
holding down the [F4] (Preview) button.
