To Change the length of a sample (Time Stretch)
You can extend or shorten the playback time of a sample. The Time Stretch command lets you transform a
sample without affecting its pitch.
1.
Access the SAMPLE MANAGER screen as described in “Viewing a list of samples” (p. 121).
2.
Press [F5](Command).
The SELECT SAMPLE EDIT COMMAND popup (Screen Guide; p. 132) will appear.
3.
Select “Time Stretch” and press [F5](Select).
The TIME STRETCH popup (Screen Guide; p. 135) will appear.
4.
Set the Rate, Time, Type, and Quality Adjust parameters.
Here you can specify the quality of the conversion. For details, refer to “TIME STRETCH popup” (Screen
Guide; p. 135).
5.
Set the Replace parameter.
If this is on (
), the edited result will overwrite the original sample.
6.
Press [F5](Execute).
The Time Stretch command will be executed.
You can select Time Stretch from the command in the AUDIO PHRASE EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 155) or
the SAMPLE EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 128).
