The SAMPLE MANAGER screen (Screen Guide; p. 169) will appear.

3.

Press [MENU].

The MENU popup will appear.

4.

Select “Optimize” and press [F5](Select).

A message of “Optimize Project.” will appear.

Deleting unused portions of a sample

There is no way to recover data that has been deleted. (Unless, of course, you have previously made a
backup of that data.) Roland Corporation can accept no responsibility for any loss of data or any
damages you incur as a result of such loss.

Depending on the project, the Optimize operation may require a certain length of time.

F-button Action

[F1](No) Cancels the Optimize operation.
[F5](Yes) Deletes the unused sample data.
When you use the Optimize procedure, all samples not being used in any way by any song/pattern within the current
project are automatically sought out and deleted in bulk, thus providing an immediate reduction in the amount of
memory used.
However, since you can’t select which samples are to be deleted, samples not assigned to any material are deleted
unconditionally.
