Recording audio tracks or audio phrases

Sound that is received via the analog inputs (or by other means) can be recorded on audio tracks as if you
were using a multitrack recorder.
You can also use the velocity pads to play audio phrases and record them on an audio track either in real time
or using step recording.

1.

Access the SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 8) or the PATTERN screen (Screen Guide; p. 91).

Press [MENU].

The MENU popup will appear.

Select “Add Audio Tracks...” and press [F5](Select).

The ADD AUDIO TRACKS popup (Screen Guide; p. 55) will appear.

Make settings for the track(s) you want to add.

5.

Press [F5](Execute).

The specified track(s) will be added to the song / pattern.

Adding audio tracks for recording data

Parameter Explanation

Name The name of the track. Each track you add will be given a default track name. Press [F1](Name)
to assign a name (maximum 12 characters).
Output Assign Specifies the output jack from which the audio recorded on the track will be output.
Number of Tracks Specify the number of tracks with the above parameter settings that will be added to the song /
pattern.

To delete a track, use the “DELETE TRACKS popup” (p. 56). The track you specify here will be deleted. For
details, refer to “Deleting tracks” (p. 169).
