		driven when the PU pulley is

5	Toner cartridge	Any abnormalities in toner car-
		tridge?
6	Process unit (developer)	Magnetic roller pressure mecha-
		nism working normally?
7	Process unit	Main charger dirty?
	(main charger)
8	Process unit (drum)	Film formed on drum surface?
9	DEV. motor assembly	Have harnesses been connected
	(terminal)	to designated terminals of DEV.
		motor assembly correctly?
		(Refer to chapter 12.6 of Service
		Manual.)
10	HVPS	High-voltage output defective?
11		If problem persists after measures
		are applied, or there is no problem
		found in above check, follow pro-
		cedure described in right column.

Measures

Replace toner cartridge.

Re-install transfer charger unit securely.

Replace transfer charger unit.

Replace process unit.

Replace toner cartridge.

Check mechanism.

Clean main charger wire, replace process unit or charger wire.

If problem persists, replace process unit or drum.

Note: Never touch drum surface.

Re-install the harness.

Adjust output from HVPS, or replace defec- tive HVPS.

Replace process unit or transfer charger unit.
