3.1The Diagnostic Test

This chapter explains how to use the Diagnostic Test program to test the functions of the computer’s hardware modules. The Diagnostic Test Program is stored on the Diagnostic Disk. The Diagnostic Test program consists of eight programs that are grouped into the Service Program Module

(DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU).

NOTE: To start the diagnostics, follow these steps:

1.Check all cables for loose connections.

2.Exit any application you may be using and close Windows.

The DIAGNOSTIC MENU consists of the following eight functions.

qLOG UTILITIES

qRUNNING TEST

qFDD UTILITIES

qSYSTEM CONFIGURATION

qEXIT TO MS-DOS

qSETUP

The DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU contains the following eleven functional tests:
