Managing Call Forwarding

When the call forward destination is “vm,” the SPA9000 forwards the call to the URL specified in <Mailbox Deposit URL>.

Following is an example where the station at extension 5034 forwarded the external caller to an external number 37683104 (the line interface dial plan strips the leading 9):

Client station replies 302 to SPA9000 (Line 2 private side)

When an incoming call from the ITSP is forked to multiple client stations, the SPA9000 does not honor the 3xx response returned by any of the client stations. If you wish the call to be forwarded to voicemail or another client station when it is not picked up, you can specify the optional “cfwd=target” syntax in <Contact List> so that the call is forwarded to the target number if not answered.
