Adjusting for CR-79 Adhesive Back Cards

The Printer is designed to print on both standard CR-80 ("credit card") sized cards and CR- 79 sized card sizes.

•The CR-79 cards are slightly smaller than CR-80 sized cards with a thickness of 20 mil (.020"/.5mm).

•The CR-79 card size relates to the adhesive back cards (used in applications where they are printed and applied to thicker proximity cards).

Step Procedure

1If the Printer does not have a Magnetic Stripe encoder:

a.Do not adjust for the different card sizes.

b.Disregard this procedure. (Note: The Printer's factory setting will accommodate both.)

2If the Printer does include a Magnetic Stripe encoder and you are printing with CR-79 sized cards:

a.Adjust for the different card sizes.

b.Refer to the next two pages to make card size adjustments to the Printer's Internal Card Guide.

•The Internal Card Guide holds the card in position as it feeds through the Printer.

•This guide is factory-set to optimize both printing and magnetic Encoding on CR-80 sized cards. See the next page.)
