Cleaning the Printer Case
The Printer has a durable casing that should retain its luster and appearance for many years. Clean it only with a soft cloth slightly moistened with water or a mild soap.
Do not use excess water or cleaning solvents of any kind. Never spray the cabinet with a cleaner. Rather, spray the cloth first, then wipe down the Printer.
Cleaning the Inside of the Printer
Step | Procedure |

1 | As you use the Printer, dust and other foreign particles may accumulate inside |
| the Printer’s case. (Note: These particles are attracted to the underside of the |
| Ribbon by static produced during printing and can cause voids on the printed |
| image. Periodically, use the following procedure to remove dust and other |
| foreign particles: |

2 | Open the Top Cover of the Printer by gently grasping the front sides of the Cover |
| and lifting upward. (Note: The Cover will tilt open from |
|
|
3 | Open the Printhead Assembly by gently pulling up on the assembly’s Release |
| Tab and lifting upward. |
| Allow the assembly to swing completely open. |
|
|
4 | Remove the Ribbon from the Printer and set it on the ends of its Ribbon cores. |
|
|
5 | Use a Cleaning Pad from the Printer Cleaning Kit or a soft, |
| moistened with isopropyl alcohol to wipe out all visible areas inside the Printer. |
| Remove any debris that may be inside. Be extremely careful not to let any |
| alcohol drip inside the Printer’s case! |

6 | Once the cleaned areas are completely dry and free of foreign debris, |
| the Ribbon and close the Printhead Assembly and Top Cover. |
