Function 02–Select IPL Type, Logical Key Mode, and Speed (on Systems without a Keystick): This function allows you to select the IPL type, logical key mode and speed.

1.Pressing Enter once puts you into the change IPL type (A, B, C, or D) operation and the IPL key mode (M or N). The IPL logical key mode appears in the eighth character position on the Function/Data display, where each (_) represents 1 character.

2.When the system power is off, pressing the Enter button twice puts you into the operation for overriding the system IPL speed (F, S, V) for the next IPL.

For powered-on systems without a keystick, function 02 is used to select the IPL type. Table 21 shows an example of the sequence for powered-on systems without a keystick.
