ITM Assembly

If media is jamming at the ITM assembly, there

 

 

may be a problem with the ITM CRU assembly.

Fuser Assembly

If a replacement fuser assembly is not available,

 

Exit Sensor

remove the fuser and check for pieces of paper

 

stuck in the fuser, or other signs of

 

(PHI 1)

contamination that might cause a paper jam.

 

HTT Cable

CAUTION: The fuser may be hot, use caution

 

MSN Cable

before removing or servicing.

 

Go to the “Paper Exit Sensor Service Check”

 

 

 

Engine Board

on page 2-67and check the paper exit sensor

 

 

(PHl 1).

 

 

• If a problem is found with the fuser and it is

 

 

below the maintenance count, repair or

 

 

replace the fuser assembly.

 

 

• If the fuser is above the maintenance count,

 

 

inform the customer that the printer should

 

 

have a maintenance kit installed.

 

 

If replacing the fuser does not fix the problem,

 

 

check all the fuser cables (HTT and MSN) for

 

 

correct installation and any signs of damage.

 

 

• If incorrect, replace the cable(s).

 

 

• If the cables are good, replace the engine

 

 

board.
